.~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76 - ~/ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PROPOSAL <br />THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO BE DESIGNATED <br />AS AN AREA AGENCY ON AGING FOR CUYAHOGA, <br />LAKE, LORAIN, GEAUGA AND MEDINA COUNTIES. <br />WHEREAS, on March 17, 1976 the Ohio Commission on Aging voted <br />to consolidate Ohio planning and Service Areas 10 and l0A in order <br />to bring about one Area Agency on Aging for the Counties of Cuyahoga, <br />Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina, and <br />WHEREAS, on April 1, 1976 legal notice was made by the Ohio <br />Commission on Aging that letters of intent to apply would be received <br />by the Ohio Commission on Aging from applicants to serve as Area <br />Agency on Aging in order to carry out responsibilities as set forth <br />in Federal and State regulations and guidelines, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made known to <br />the Ohio Commission on Aging its intent to apply for designation as <br />an Area Agency on Aging. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: that the City of North Olmsted supports the <br />application of the Board of County Commissioners to be designated as <br />the Area Agency on Aging for the Counties of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, <br />Lorain and Medina. <br />SECTION 2: that the City of North Olmsted urges the State of <br />Ohio and its Commission on Aging to recognize and designate the Board <br />of County Commissioners as the Area Agency on Aging. <br />SECTION 3: that the Clerk of Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted be delegated to forward a copy of this resolution to James <br />A. Rhodes, Governor of the State of Ohio, to Martin A. Janis, <br />Executive Director of the Ohio Commission on Aging and to the Executive <br />Director of the Cuyahoga County Office on Aging. <br />SECTION 4: that this Resolution shall take effect and be in <br />force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />NORA T.
