CITY OF NO RTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 74 -~G~. <br />BY: /'~GrJ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />GROUTING OF A PORTION OF WILLETT DRIVE, <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT <br />FOR SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering discovered upon inspection <br />that the base under the westerly end of Willett Drive was washed away <br />thereby creating a cavern thereunder, and <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Department recommends that the cavern <br />under Willett Drive be filled with grouting, and <br />WHEREAS, Council deems it to be an emergency because of the <br />possibility of the street collapsing; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Service be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the grouting of a <br />portion of Willett Drive, according to specifications now on file <br />in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute <br />same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for said grouting <br />of a portion of Willett Drive. <br />SECTION 2: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is immediately necessary to repair Willett Drive to prevent the <br />collapse thereof, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : ~..LCe.,r, G~ ~ /,Z~f' <br />ATTEST: <br /><< <br />~•~ / <br />NORA T.
