~.~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 74 - ;I~-- <br />BY : L%iW <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTF~ORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH WALTER H. DRAKE COMPANY <br />TO REVISE THE TRAFFIC CODE, UPDATE THE G~1'ERAL <br />OFFENSES CODE, REVISE AND CHANGE THE INDEX OF <br />THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED ACCORDINGLY, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Ohio State Legislature revised the Penal Code and <br />the Traffic Code of the State of Ohio, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is required to update its <br />Traffic Code and General Offenses Code accordingly, and <br />WHEREAS, Article VIII, Section 6 of the Charter of the City <br />of North Olmsted provides that bids for contracts for personal <br />services may be awarded without the necessity of public bidding, and <br />WHEREAS, revision and recodification of all ordinances are <br />determined to be a personal service; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement with Walter H. Drane Company to <br />revise the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />North Olmsted and update the General Offenses Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, and to revise and change <br />the index, cross references and Comparative Section Table of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted to conform to the <br />said revision and updating, and to print Two Hundred Sets of all <br />pages changed, all as set forth in the contract, a copy of which <br />is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof <br />as though fully rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That the compensation for the services provided <br />pursuant to this agreement shall not exceed a total amount of <br />Two Thousand, Two Hundred A'undred Dollars,(~2,200.00). <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is necessary to conform to the provisions set by the Ohio Legisla- <br />ture, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED• % oZ ~ <br />ATTEST: <br />L iZ.~t.~r.~t.J <br />NORA T.
