CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 75- ~'~~ r: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A REVISED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, ESTABLISHING THE REMUNERATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND REPEALING IN PART CERTAIN PORTIONS OF ORDINANCE N0. 73-115 ENACTED SEPTEMBER 18, 1973 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, pursuant to discussions between representatives of the City and representatives of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (hereinafter referred to as the Labor Organi- zation) in 1973, the City entered into a remorandum of Understanding with the Labor Organization with respect to the compensation and other conditions of employment of certain employees in the Public Works Divi- sion of the Department of Public Service of the City of North Olmsted and said Memorandum of Understanding was approved by Ordinance 73-115 enacted September 18, 1973; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of said Memorandum of Understand- ing, representatives of the City and the Labor Organization have con- ducted further discussions concerning revisions of the Memorandum of Understanding, including revised rates of compensation for the employees covered by the said Memorandum of Understanding, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That the Revised Memorandum of Understanding with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, attached hereto and made a part hereof as though fully incorporated herein, is hereby adopted, ratified and approved and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to affix his signature thereto for and on behalf of the City. Section 2: That all other ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the provi- sions of this ordinance and especially Ordinance No. 73-115 enacted on the 18th day of September, 1973, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this ordinance to the extent that they pertain to employees in the bargaining unit covered by the Memorandum of Understanding and are inconsistent with this ordinance including the Memorandum of Understand- ing attached hereto and made apart hereof. Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward a copy of this ordinance to the Director of Public Service and to the Director of Finance in order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation authorized by this ordinance and the Memorandum of Understanding attached hereto and made a part hereof.
