<br />Present were Paul J. Gaxeau, Mayor; Bruce MacDonald, President of Council; Henry
<br />Casters Ralph Christman, A.L. Mangani, Lillian Piicholas~ Francis J. (~~Neill,
<br />George H. Porter.
<br />Also present were Lloyd E. Barenes, Service Director; C.J. Oviatt, Solicitor;
<br />:~illiam Gerlach Auditor; and Louise Ball, Clerk.
<br />Absent; Dewey Limpert.
<br />Resolution No. 3086 was introduced by Mr. Porter. A resol~aion transferring
<br />appropriations and declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. Porter, seconded
<br />by Mr. Christman, that the statutory rule be suspended aril the resolution be
<br />read im~c?iately the second ar=d third times and put on its passage. The
<br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Caster, Christman Nicholas
<br />OtNeil].~ Porter. Thereupon the resolution was read the second and third times
<br />and put upon its passa~e and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Caster,
<br />Christman, Nicholas, C Nei11, Parter.

<br />Ordinance No. 3087 was given its first reading. An ordinance to provide for the
<br />submission to the electors of the City of Nortr. Olmsted, the question of
<br />amending Section !t of Article VI of the City Charter to provide in all promotional
<br />examinations that the Commission certify to the appointing officers tY:e top
<br />applicant.
<br />Resolution No. 3088 eras introduced by Mr. Porter. A resolution appropriating
<br />four thousand dollars (~J~,000.00) from the Permanent Improvement Fund and
<br />declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. Porter, seconded by Mr. Christman.,
<br />that the statutory rule be suspended and the resolution be read immediately
<br />the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on
<br />said mation was as follows: Caster, Christman, Mangani, Nicholas O'Neill
<br />Porter. Thereupon the resolution was read the second and third times and put
<br />upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Caster
<br />Christman Mangani, Nicholas, O'Neil1, Port~x.

<br />the Service Director to purchase two used buses from tY:.e Cleveland Transit S~ster~,
<br />with. tires and equipmen±,~ the total ~~ost of whicY'A is nat to exceed X4,000.00,
<br />and declaring an emergency. It was moved. by Mr. Christman seconded by N:r. O'N~.:i~°.3,
