JULY 8, 1958 <br />MIKUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />8:12 P.M. <br />Present were Ralph A. Hazelton, President of Council; James Hinkel, <br />Eddie Hiason, William H. Kramer, Mary Alice Lynch, James Wilson and <br />Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director. <br />Also present were C. J. Oviatt, Solicitor and E. M. Christman, Clerk <br />and Alice Dobbins, Treasurer. <br />Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Carl F. Haettich, Safety Director; Bruce <br />MacDonald and Francis O~Neill were absent. <br />This meeting was called for a public hearing on the budget for the <br />year 1959. <br />*The President of Council asked if anyone in the audience had anything <br />they wished to ask about the budget. There being no questions, the <br />Clerk read publicly the budget for 1959. <br />The President of Council stated that the Service Director wanted per- <br />mission to address the Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Hinkel, seconded by Mr. Wilson, that Mr. Barnes <br />be permitted to address the Council. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hiason, Lynch <br />Wilson. "Nay" Kramer. <br />Mr. Barnes advised that they were running short of money for the <br />Town Hall maintenance. <br />It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Hinkel, that the matter be <br />referred to the Finance Committee for study. "Yeas" Hinkel! Lynch, <br />Wilson. "Nay" Hiason and Kramer. <br />resolution No. 271? was introduced by Mr. Hinkel. Resolution adopting <br />the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning <br />January 1, 1959 and submitting same to the County Auditor. The above <br />resolution was given its first reading only. <br />Mr. Wilson reported that the Finance Committee had approved the hiring <br />of Mrs. Olive Ownes as recording secretary of the Planning Commission. <br />Ordinance No. 2716 was given its second reading. <br />The meeting adjourned to the call of the Clerk at 9:07 P.
