MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL 1IEETING OF THE COUNCIL
<br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
<br />MARCH 31, 1983
<br />Present: President James Boehmer, Councilmen Logan, McRay, Petrigac, Saringer,
<br />Wilamosky, Woerpel.
<br />Also present: Mayor Robert Swietyniawski, Finance Director Edward Boyle,
<br />Clerk of Council Florence Campbell.
<br />Absent: Councilman Bierman.
<br />Special Meeting of Council was called to order by President Boehmer at 10:10 P.M.
<br />Before reading Ordinance No. 83-22, an ordinance to make appropriations for current
<br />expenses and other expenditures for the Citq of North Olmsted for the year ending
<br />December 31, 1983, as ameaded, Mr. Wilamosky moved to amend "Federal Revenue Sharing
<br />Fund" to read "Summer Recreation Program - Wages, $13,414; PERS -$247; Utilities
<br />(Gas, Electric, Water) -$15,900; Operating Supplies -$250; Concession Stock -
<br />$2,200; Sales Tax (Concession) -$35$; Total Revenue Sharing Funds -$259,069";
<br />also amend Page Seven "Total Appropriations All Funds, Including Sections Belaw"
<br />to read "$16,231,432", second by Mr. Woerpel, unanimously approved.
<br />Mr. Logan moved Council amend the agenda to allow audience participation, not to
<br />exceed five minutes, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved.
<br />Mrs. Patricia Bahas, Civil Service Secretary discussed the Civil Service Account;
<br />would like some method established to show if the bills are paid or not. After
<br />general discussion, Finance Director will see that:Mrs. Bahas_receives the manthly
<br />financial printout showing Civil Service, Other and Civil Service, Pay Roll.
<br />LEGISLATION:
<br />Ordinance No. 83-22 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was g(.ven its third reading.
<br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for
<br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1983, as amended.
<br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by
<br />Mr. Logan. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Logan, McKay, Petrigac, Wi2amosky,
<br />Woerpel. Negative vote: Saringer. 5 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried. Mr. Logan
<br />moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Petrigac. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote:
<br />Logan, McKay, Petrigac, tdilamosky, Woerpel. Negative vote: Saringer. 5 Aye - 1 Nay -
<br />Motion carried. Ordinance No. 83-22 adopted.
<br />Mrs. Petrigac spoke on a point of personal privilege and discussed Ordinance No.
<br />83-21, passed at the Council Meeting of March 29, 1983, which she was unable to
<br />attend. Would like this ordinance to be recansidered. After general discussian, no
<br />motion was made to reconsider.
<br />Mr. Logan moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Bierman, second by Mr. McKay, unanimously
<br />approved.
<br />There being no further business, President Boehmer adjourned the meeting at 10:45 P.M.
