MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AUGUST 18, 1987 Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilmen Bohlmann, Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, Rademaker, Tallon, Wilamosky. Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. Special Council Meeting was called to order by President Saringer at 8:00 P.M. LEGISLATION: Resolution No. 87-80 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A resolution declaring the necessity of an election on the question of approving the passage of an ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, 1501.1302 and 1501.2101 of the Codif ied Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in order to increase the municipal income tax rate from one percent to one and one-half percent, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady., unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved to postpone Ordinance No. 87-81, an ordinance to amend Section 1501.1901 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in order to provide for a seventy-five percent municipal income tax credit with a credit limit of seventy-five percent of one percent of taxable income, and declaring an emergency, to a date certain of November 4, 1987, second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-81 postponed to date certain, November 4, 1987. Ordinance No. 87-82 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. An ordinance levying a Motor Vehicle Excise Tax of $5.00 per motor vehicle pursuant to Section 4504.172 of the Ohio Revised Code, and declaring an emergency.
