MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUGUST 18, 1987 <br />Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilmen Bohlmann, Lackey, McKay, <br />O'Grady, Rademaker, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Special Council Meeting was called to order by President Saringer at 8:00 P.M. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 87-80 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. <br />A resolution declaring the necessity of an election on the question of approving <br />the passage of an ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, <br />1501.1302 and 1501.2101 of the Codif ied Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Ohio, in order to increase the municipal income tax rate from one percent to <br />one and one-half percent, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady., unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved to postpone Ordinance No. 87-81, an ordinance to amend <br />Section 1501.1901 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Ohio, in order to provide for a seventy-five percent municipal income tax <br />credit with a credit limit of seventy-five percent of one percent of taxable <br />income, and declaring an emergency, to a date certain of November 4, 1987, <br />second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-81 postponed to <br />date certain, November 4, 1987. <br />Ordinance No. 87-82 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance levying a Motor Vehicle Excise Tax of $5.00 per motor vehicle <br />pursuant to Section 4504.172 of the Ohio Revised Code, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer <br />adjourned the Special Council Meeting at 8:05 P.M. <br />~o . <br />Florence E.
