MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUGUST 17, 1987 <br />Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilmen Bohlmann, Lackey, McKay, <br />O'Grady, Rademaker, Talton. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: Councilman Wilamosky. <br />Special Council Meeting was called to order by President Saringer at 8:00 P.M. <br />Audience participation: <br />Joan Danes, 4732 Lansing Drive, expressed her support for replacing the roof at <br />the Recreation Complex. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 87-79 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given. its second reading. <br />An ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, 1501.1302 and <br />1501.2101 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in <br />order to increase the municipal income tax rate from one percent to one and <br />one-half percent, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 87-80 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. <br />A resolution declaring the necessity of an election on the question of approv- <br />ing the passage of an ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501, <br />1501.0502, 1501.1302 and 1501.2101 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio, in order to increase the municipal income tax rate from <br />one percent to one and one half percent, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 87-81 introduced by Mr, Wilamosky was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to amend Section 1501.1901 of the Codified Ordinances of the City <br />of North Olmsted, Ohio, in order to provide for a seventy-five percent munici- <br />pal income tax credit with a credit limit of seventy-five percent of one percent <br />of taxable income, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 87-82 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance levying a Motor Vehicle Excise Tax of $5.00 per motor vehicle pur- <br />suant to Section 4504.172 of the Ohio Revised Code, and declaring an emergency. <br />Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Councilman Wilamosky, second by Mr. <br />Bohlmann, unanimously approved, <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer <br />adjourned the Special Council Meeting at 8:15 P.M. <br />6 • (~ <br />Florence E.
