r <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 18, 1988 <br />Present: President Pro Tem Ronald Tallon, Councilmen Boehmer, Bohlmann, <br />McKay, O'Grady, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: President Saringer, Councilwoman Bahas. <br />Meeting was called to order by President .Pro .Tem. Tallon at 8 P.M., in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting <br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Minutes of the Council Meeting of October 4, 1988, were approved. <br />President Pro Tem Tallon announced: 1) President Saringer's absence is due <br />to her attendance at a memorial mass for her late husband, Bob. Councilwoman <br />Bahas' absence is due to her trip to California. <br />2) Public Hearing will be held on November 1, 1988, at 7 P.M., with respect to <br />Ordinance No. 88-75, an ordinance creating new Chapter 1141 of the Zoning Code <br />entitled "Office Building District". <br />3) Public Hearings will be held on November 15, 1988, at 7 P.M., with respect <br />to Ordinance No. 88-112, an ordinance amending Section 1135.02 of the Zoning <br />Code entitled "Accessory Uses and Buildings" as well as on Ordinance No. 88-118, <br />an ordinance changing premises from Single Residence C District and premises <br />from Multiple Residence District to Office Building Districts. <br />4) Ordinance No. 88-120, establishing salaries for North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line, has been added to tonight's agenda; Council will be suspending rules re- <br />quiring three readings on Resolutions No. 88-106, 88-107, 88-108, 88-109, 88-110 <br />and 88-114 as well as Ordinance No. 88-115. <br />Mayor Petrigac reported: 1) Has given a list of proposed capital improvements <br />to council members as well as a priority list of about ten projects; would like <br />to meet with council to discuss. <br />2) Work has begun on Maple Ridge Road; the section between Walter and Columbia <br />Roads will be closed to through traffic until October 28th. <br />3) Porter. Road Project will not get underway until January due to ordering of <br />shut-off valves. <br />4) Negotiations with FOP, Lodge 25, begin in the next few weeks with Law Director, <br />Safety Director and Budget and Management Director negotiating for the City; <br />Police Chief Marsh will sit in on all negotiations. <br />5) Scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, October 25th, at 7:30 P.M., at the Senior <br />Center, to review and discuss the Recreation Complex Study; all of council as <br />well as members of the Recreation Commission are invited to be in attendance. <br />6) The Cleveland Food Bank is looking for volunteers to help collect and dis- <br />perse food on Saturday, November 19th, for a period of about six hours; any- <br />one interested should contact the Mayor's office. <br /> <br />
