r <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />~~~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />~.k~ JUNE 25, 2013 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Kearney, <br />Orlowski, Schumann, Smith and Williamson <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The following legislation will be passed under suspension of the rules this evening: <br />Second Reading - Resolution 2013-54, Ordinance 2013-55, Resolution 2013-56, <br />Resolution 2013-57 & Resolution 2013-59; First Reading -Ordinance 2013-60 & <br />Resolution 2013-61. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to remove 2013-62 from the agenda. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2013-62 <br />removed from the agenda. <br />REPORTS <br />Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met Tuesday June 25, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Barker, Schumann and Kearney; Council President Jones; Council <br />members Brossard, Orlowski, Smith and Williamson; Finance Director Copfer. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2013-54 which is a Resolution adopting the <br />Alternative Tax Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning <br />January 1, 2014, and submitting the same to the County Fiscal Officer, and <br />declaring an emergency. This demonstrates the need for the county to levy our <br />taxes and that debt service is covered. This is done on an annual basis. 'The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2013-54 with <br />suspension. <br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2013-55 which is an Ordinance to make and <br />transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of <br />North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2013 and declaring an <br />emergency, as amended. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of <br />Ordinance 2013-55 with suspension. <br />• Discussed last was Ordinance 2013-60 which amends the rates of compensation <br />for various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2012, 2013 and <br />2014 to provide for the same salary range for the Springvale Maintenance <br />Supervisor as the Division of Public Works Foreman and the Division of Waste <br />jam, Water Collection System Foreman; and otherwise restating the compensation <br />rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel for the <br /> <br />
