MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />FEBRUARY 5, 2013 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Kearney, <br />Orlowski, Schumann and Williamson <br />Also Present: Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council <br />Gallo, Director of Planning/Development Wenger and Director of Human <br />Resources Farver <br />Absent: Council member Mahoney <br />Mayor Kennedy <br />Safety/Service Director Thomas <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to amend the agenda to add Ordinance 2013-12. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Agenda <br />'~' amended to add Ordinance 2013-12. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of December 18, 2012 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading -Ordinance 2013-1 l; First Reading -Resolutions 2013- <br />14, 2013-15 and 2013-16. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• No report. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• On Thursday, January 17, 2013 he traveled with Mayor Kennedy and Director <br />Copfer to meet with Moody's for the 2013 Bond Issue review. He complimented <br />Mayor Kennedy and Director Copfer on their efforts regarding this issue. <br />• The city is scheduled for arbitration in the matter of discipline against a North <br />Olmsted police officer regarding a 30 consecutive day suspension on Wednesday, <br />March 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. <br />• There are three labor contracts before Council this evening -Dispatch, AFSCME <br />Clerical/Tech and AFSCME Service. All three were negotiated in-house. He <br />
