MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 1996 <br />Present: Council President Boehmer, Council Members Limpert, Lind, Musial, <br />Nashar, O'Grady, Saringer <br />Also Present: Finance Director Burns, Clerk of Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member McKay <br />Council President Boehmer called the special meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 96-153 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. A <br />resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning <br />January 1, 1997, and submitting the same and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind reported <br />that the legislation had been discussed at the Finance Committee meeting of Tuesday, <br />September 10, and unanimously approve for passage. The legislation establishes our need <br />to set the tax rate for 1997 so we can receive our property taxes. We are asking for a <br />total of 12.8 mills of property tax. One mill is for sewer, 11. l is the general millage and .7 <br />of a mill is for recreation. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 96-153 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-162 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1996. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved to excuse the absence of Mr. McKay; second by Mr. Lind; motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />With the agenda being completed, President Boehmer adjourned the special meeting at <br />7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />L.
