:~,~ MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />~~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MONDAY, APRIL 8,1996 <br />Present: Council President Boehmer, Council. Members Limpert, Lmd, McKay, <br />Musial, Nashar, <br />Also Present: Mayor Boyle, Acting Clerk of Council McFarland <br />Absent: Council Members O'Grady and Saringer <br />Council President Boehmer called the special meeting to order at 7:30 p.m in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 96-51 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance granting to Ameritech New Media Inc. of anon-exclusive franchise, granting it <br />the right to construct, operate, and maintain a cable system for the purpose of <br />transmitting, receiving, amplifying and distn~uting analog and digital, television, radio <br />data signals and for any other purpose permitted by law by the City of North Olmsted for <br />a fifteen (15) year period as amended. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />McKay; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-51 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-56 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administration and legislative <br />personnel and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 96-57 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. A <br />resolution in support of the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust and in <br />opposition to all forms of bigotry. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 96-57 adopted. <br />Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Mrs. Saringer and Mr. O'Grady; second by <br />Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Boehmer aadjourned the special meeting at 7:35 p.m. <br />Barbara L.
