MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />~~ .r <br />JANUARY 19, 1999 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />The members of the audience were invited to join in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance led <br />by Eagle Scout Ryan Humphries. <br />Mrs. Kasler moved to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance 98-141 from third reading <br />and place it on second reading as amended; the motion was seconded by Mr. McKay and <br />unanimously approved. <br />President Saringer extended greetings and a welcome to the Webelos from Boy Scout <br />Pack 664, their leaders Mr. & Mrs. Wilkins, Dave Dillon and Eagle Scout Ryan <br />Humphries from Pack 664. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of December 29, 1998 were approved as <br />written. The minutes of the Council meeting of January 5, 1999 were approved as <br />written. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 99-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution commending the achievement by <br />Ryan Humphries of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. Mr. O'Grady moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. <br />Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Gareau; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 99-8 adopted. Ryan was asked to <br />come forward, and Mrs. Saringer read the resolution in its entirety. Council and the <br />administration extended congratulations and best wishes to Ryan. Ryan was recognized <br />by all in attendance. <br />REP- <br />Mayor Musial: 1) Mr. & Mrs. Humphries and Dave Dillon were recognized for their <br />efforts in helping Ryan in his achievement of the Eagle Scout Award. Ryan's Eagle <br />Project was the organization and implementation of the clean-up of a future site for <br />Horizon Center on Kenney Lane. The project included trimming of bushes, clearing the <br />
