MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 4, 2045 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director/Acting Clerk <br />Of Council Copfer <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:OS p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Ohnsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of April S, 2005 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of April 19, 2005 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of Apri12S, 2005 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: first reading, Resolution Nos. 2005-73, 2005-74, 2005-82. <br />REPORTS <br />1. Week of April 18: <br />• Swore-in Jason Werner as a member of the ARB and Donna Sabo as a member of the <br />Board of Building Code Appeals. <br />• Attended a DARE graduation at Chestnut School and a Chamber of Commerce <br />annual employees appreciation luncheon at the Radisson. <br />• Presented a proclamation at the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Eli and Ian Wiles. <br />2. Week of April 25: <br />• Attended alabor-management meeting with the fire fighters local that was designed <br />to foster greater understanding and rapport between the two entities, labor and <br />management. An additional meeting will follow on May 23. <br />• Spoke at a recognition luncheon for volunteers at the Senior Center, and attended an <br />appreciation lunch for City Hall clerical workers which was very well done. Both <br />luncheons were well attended. <br />• Attended a Mayors and Managers meeting in Cleveland where again the focus was <br />finding some relief from the local government fund cuts proposed by the State <br />House. Those cuts will have a significant impact on our budget. <br />• Presented the "Key to the City" to Stan Ball who was honored as the 2005 Citizen of <br />the Year by the Community Council. <br />• Attended an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for William Reichert. <br />
