MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ~'"' OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FEBRUARY 15, 2005 Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gazeau, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashaz Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Sernan Absent: Council Member Kasler President O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Gazeau made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance 2005-10 from third reading and refer it back to the Environmental Control Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. RED Mayor Musial: 1) He attended the Council of Governments meeting on February 8 primarily because a question came up with regards to central dispatch and the fact that our Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief were not being brought into the conversations dealing with the operational aspects of central dispatch. That issue was resolved as both Chief Klecan and Assistant Chief Robertson were there and stated their case. 2) A Town Hall meeting regarding NOMBL was held on February 10 at the Middle School. There were roughly 400 pimple in attendance. Thank you to Duane Limpert and Bob Whiting for the work that they did in the Town Hall meeting. Mr. Calabrese was in attendance as was Marty Gelfand. Duane Limpert was the MC and handled the question/answer portion of the meeting. During the course of the meeting, Dennis Kucinich arrived and gave a very impassioned presentation. It was a very good presentation of the views and opinions of the people in North Olmsted. We were able to convey our views and opinions to Mr. Calabrese with regards to the potential acquisition of NOMBL by RTA. It was put on videotape and hopefully we'll be able to put that on our cable channel or website. President O'Grady noted that he had attended the Town Hall meeting as well as Councilmen Nashar and McKay.
