JAMES BOEHMER <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO DISPOSE OF SURPLUS POLICE VEHICLES <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, due to the purchase of new police vehicles, there <br />are seven (7) vehicles used by the Police Department which are now <br />obsolete and no longer can be used by the City, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the <br />Safety Director to dispose of the aforesaid vehicles. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Safety Director be and he is hereby <br />authorize to dispose of the following vehicles; <br />1. By sealed bid selling the vehicle or vehicles <br />to the highest bidder. <br />3. By trade-in obtaining the highest price available <br />from the automobile dealer supplying the City with <br />new police vehicles. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is necessary to have the subject vehicles removed from the premises <br />of the City because of storage problems, and further provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
