CITY OF NORTH OLI~ISTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 80-108 <br />BY: THE MAYOR AND THE ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PUBLIC <br />SERVICE OF WILLIAM GILBERT OF THE <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />WHEREAS, William Gilbert has announced his retirement from <br />service on the Board of Building Code Appeals after Fifteen Years <br />of dedication to this Community, and <br />WHEREAS, I`~r. Gilbert was first appointed to the Board on <br />February 4, 1964; was elected Chairman on Parch 18, 1970 and has <br />served as Chairman until his retirement, and <br />WHEREAS, Under the direction of Mr. Gilbert, the Board of <br />Building Code Appeals made important decisions interpreting the <br />various building codes and other ordinances and also made determin- <br />ations on materials and methods of construction which may be used <br />even though not specified in the Building Code, and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Gilbert assisted in establishing rules and <br />regulations, conditions and qualifications for the registration <br />of contractors performing work under the codes and recommended to <br />Council necessary amendments and additions to the Building Codes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />personally anc~collectively, and on behalf of the Mayor, the <br />Administration and all residents of the City, honors the public service <br />of WILLIAM GILBERT and extends its heartfelt gratitude to him. <br />SECTION 2: Be it further resolved that this Resolution be <br />spread in full upon the records of this Council, and that the Clerk <br />of Council is hereby directed to forward a duly authenticated and <br />executed copy of this Resolution to WILLIAM GILBERT. <br />PASSED: ~ ~ pa <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
