~~,~ <br />., <br />.~ <br />,• <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 80-g6 <br />BY: Dean McKay <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTLON 373.08 OF THE <br />TRAFFIC CODE ENTITLED "LICENSE PLATE CARD <br />AND REPLACEMENT FEE" OF CHAPTER 373 ENTITLED <br />rrBICYCLES AND BICYCLE REGISTRATION". <br />WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the Licensing Section <br />with respect to bicycles and has determined that the cost of <br />processing applications for bicycle licenses has increased, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to update the <br />license and registration fees. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE-CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTIQN l: That Section 373.08 of the Traffic Code entitled <br />"License Plate Card and Replacement Fee" of Chapter 373 entitled <br />"Bicycles and Bicycle Registration", which now reads: <br />"373.08 LICENSE PLATE, CARD AND REPLACEMENT FEE. <br />(a) At the time of registration the Chief of Police shall <br />furnish to the applicant a durable registration plate bearing the <br />license number assigned to a bicycle and the name of the City. <br />He shall also issue a registration card to the applicant reciting <br />that th_e bicycle has been registered in the name of the owner. Such <br />registration card shall also recite the expiration date of the license <br />and the serial number of such license. <br />(b) The Chief of Police shall direct the owner to attach <br />such. license plate to the rear mudguard or frame of the bicycle for <br />which issued in such a position as to be plainly visible from the <br />rear. <br />(c) The Chief of Police shall furnish. each registrant with a <br />copy of the provisions of this chapter and other information as he <br />may deem appropriate. <br />(d) Lt shall be unlawful to maliciously remove, destroy, <br />mutilate or alter any serial number of any bicycle licensed hereunder, <br />or any license plate or license card issued hereunder. <br />(e) In the event the license plate is lost, defaced or destroyed, <br />the Chief of Police, when satisfied of such fact, shall issue anew <br />license plate upon application of the owner of such. bicycle.
