~~,~ ., .~ ,• CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 80-g6 BY: Dean McKay AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTLON 373.08 OF THE TRAFFIC CODE ENTITLED "LICENSE PLATE CARD AND REPLACEMENT FEE" OF CHAPTER 373 ENTITLED rrBICYCLES AND BICYCLE REGISTRATION". WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the Licensing Section with respect to bicycles and has determined that the cost of processing applications for bicycle licenses has increased, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to update the license and registration fees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE-CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTIQN l: That Section 373.08 of the Traffic Code entitled "License Plate Card and Replacement Fee" of Chapter 373 entitled "Bicycles and Bicycle Registration", which now reads: "373.08 LICENSE PLATE, CARD AND REPLACEMENT FEE. (a) At the time of registration the Chief of Police shall furnish to the applicant a durable registration plate bearing the license number assigned to a bicycle and the name of the City. He shall also issue a registration card to the applicant reciting that th_e bicycle has been registered in the name of the owner. Such registration card shall also recite the expiration date of the license and the serial number of such license. (b) The Chief of Police shall direct the owner to attach such. license plate to the rear mudguard or frame of the bicycle for which issued in such a position as to be plainly visible from the rear. (c) The Chief of Police shall furnish. each registrant with a copy of the provisions of this chapter and other information as he may deem appropriate. (d) Lt shall be unlawful to maliciously remove, destroy, mutilate or alter any serial number of any bicycle licensed hereunder, or any license plate or license card issued hereunder. (e) In the event the license plate is lost, defaced or destroyed, the Chief of Police, when satisfied of such fact, shall issue anew license plate upon application of the owner of such. bicycle. A replacement fee of one dollar (_$1.00) shall be authorized." be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: 373.08 LICENSE PLATE, CARD AND REPLACEMENT FEE.
