._:- <br />_ ~„ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 80 - 62 <br />BY: <br />~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 943.07 <br />OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED <br />"RATES FOR OPENING AND CLOSING GRAVES" <br />OF CHAPTER 943 ENTITLED "CEMETERIES" <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, this Council has had an opportunity to review <br />the current charge for opening and closing graves, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the charge <br />which. is currently being made is totally inadequate under the <br />existing economic conditions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That Section 943.07 of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the Cityy o~Nortfi Olmsted entitled "Rates for Opening and <br />Closing Graves"of Chapter 943 entitled "Cemeteries" which presently <br />reads as follows: <br />"943.07 RATES FOR OPENING AND CLOSING GRAVES. <br />The rate for opening and closing graves shall be seventy- <br />five dollars ($75.00)." <br />Be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as <br />follows: <br />"943.07 RATES FOR OPENING AND CLOSING GRAVES. <br />The rate for opening and closing graves shall be one <br />hundred fifty dollars ($150.00)." <br />SECTION 2: That Section 943.07 of the Codified Ordinances <br />as previously a opted, be and the same is hereby repealed, together <br />with any other ordinance or parts of ordinances inconsistent here- <br />with. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is immediately necessary to reflect the economic conditions <br />of today's economy, and further provided it received the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence Camp ell, Cl o Council <br />w <br />Dewey Lampert, P si ent <br />of Council <br />First reading: ~,20 ~v <br />Second reading. 6 <br />Third reading: G <br />
