~.- CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - 7 BY: Mayor O'Grady and Councilman Mahoney A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION OF FIELD RECONDITIONS FROM THE NORTH OLMSTED HOT STOVE LEAGUE IN ORDER TO CONSTRUCT A DUGOUT FOR CLAGUE ROAD #1, PROVIDE FOR A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR DIAMONDS #1 AND #5 AT NORTH OLMSTED PARK AND DIAMONDS #1 AND #2 AT CLAGUE ROAD PARK WITH AN OPTIONAL SERVICE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND RESTORATION OF THE INFIELD AND RIGHT OUTFIELD FOR THE CITY PARK AT CHESTNUT INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Hot Stove League proposes to donate services to the City for field restoration. The City will in turn waive field preparation fees and permit fees for one year; and WHEREAS, based upon the favorable recommendation of the Director of Community Life Services and the Parks and Recreation Commissioner, this Council desires to accept the said donation for the purpose stated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby accepts the donation of field reconditions from the North Olmsted Hot Stove League in order to construct a dugout for Clague Road # 1, provide for a maintenance contract for diamonds # 1 and #5 at North Olmsted Park and diamonds #1 and #2 at Clague Road Park with an optional service for the construction and restoration of the infield and right outfield for the City park at Chestnut Intermediate School. The Parks and Recreation Commissioner is hereby authorized to waive field preparation fees and permit fees for one year. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of this City and for the further reason that this Resolution is required to be immediately effective in order that Hot Stove would like to enter into an agreement with the contractor as soon as possible to have work started as weather breaks for field usage this year; and further provided th~*. it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
