<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 - 11 <br />BY: Councilman Dean McKav and Councilman George Nashar <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />TO IMPROVE LORAIN ROAD, STATE ROUTE 10, FROM THE WEST <br />CORPORATION LINE TO THE EAST CORPORATION LINE BY RESURFACING <br />AND CURB REPAIR, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the pavement and curbing on Lorain Road, State Route 10, has deteriorated <br />from the west corporation line to the east corporation line, and <br />WHEREAS, Lorain Road, State Route 10, is a principal arterial highway through the <br />City of North Olmsted, carrying approximately 40,000 vehicles per day, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is desirous of cooperating with the State of Ohio, <br />Department of Transportation, in the improvement of Lorain Road, State Route 10. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby requests that the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation improve Lorain Road, State Route 10, from the west corporation line to the <br />east corporation line by resurfacing the pavement and repairing the curbing under the supervision <br />of the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary for the protection of the traveling public, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote oftwo-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor <br /> <br />
