NIW <br />? <br />1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90-157 <br />By: Councilman Thomas 0'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE POLICE <br />DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: The Organizational Chart for the Police Division <br />of the City of North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Division and the <br />personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of <br />the Chief of Police who shall be in charge of the entire Police <br />Division. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of all <br />Non-uniform Personnel in accordance with Ordinance establishing <br />same, by the Council of the City of North Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of General <br />Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of: Two (2) Captains, <br />Four (4) Lieutenants, Five (5) Sergeants, between twenty-nine (29) <br />and thirty-six (36) Patrolmen. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a <br />Detective Bureau consisting of Seven (7) of the Police Personnel <br />mentioned in Section 1-C above. <br />E. The Police Division as constituted herein shall be <br />classified by the Director of Public Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances or resolutions or parts of <br />ordinances and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby <br />repealed with the effective date of this ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason <br />it is immediately necessary to provide a change in rank <br />structure, and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor.
