? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLIITION N0. 90 - 144 <br />BY: Councilwoman Patricia Bahas <br />? <br />.? <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING WORLD FOOD DAY, OCTOBER 16, 1990. <br />WHEREAS, World Food Day on October 16, 1990 is an <br />opportunity to call attention to the continuing tragedy <br />of hunger throughout the world; and <br />WHEREAS, this day is particularly relevant this year <br />when Congress is recasting basic farm and food <br />legislation affecting all of our citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, it is important for all communities <br />throughout the nation to continue to fight hunger and <br />homelessness and to support food and health policies and <br />programs targeted at assisting needy families. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That it is the sense of this Council to <br />support the continuation of programs designed to help the <br />hungry and the homeless. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect <br />and be in force from and after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br />PASSED : <br />ATTEST: <br />b • t .
