CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90 - 128 <br />BY: Councilman Thomas 0'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE POLICE <br />DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The Organizational Chart for the Police Division <br />of the City of North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Division and <br />the personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall <br />consist of the Chief of Police who shall be in charge of the <br />entire Police Division. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of all <br />Non-uniform Personnel in accordance with Ordinance <br />establishing same, by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of <br />General Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of: Two (2) <br />Captains, Four (4) Lieutenants, Five (5) Sergeants, between <br />twenty-eight (29 and thirty-four (34) Patrolmen. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a <br />Detective Bureau consisting of Six (6) of the Police Personnel <br />mentioned in Section 1-C above. One (1) member of the <br />Detective Bureau shall serve as the Juvenile Officer of the <br />North Olmsted Police Division. <br />E. The Police Division as constituted herein shall be <br />classified by the Director of Public Safety, as required by <br />law. <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances or resolutions or parts <br />of ordinances and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby <br />repealed with the effective date of this ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necesary for the preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further <br />reason it is immediately necessary to provide a change in rank <br />structure, and further, provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and b-e in force imediately upon its passage and
