- o <br />? ? . .. ? ? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. g 0 -116 <br />BY: THE ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE ELEC- <br />TORS OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO OF AN AMENDMENT <br />TO ARTICLE IV, SECTION 14 OF THE CHARTER PROVIDING FOR <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCES <br />AND REGULATIONS, AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CHARTER REVIEW <br />COMMITTEE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission of the City of North Olmsted, <br />appointed pursuant to Article XIV of the Charter of the Citq of North <br />Olmsted, has filed its report of recommended amendments to the Charter with <br />this Council, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to submit the within pro- <br />posal to the electors for their consideration at the General Election to be <br />held within the City on November 6, 1990. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO, TWO-THIRDS OF ALL TENIBERS <br />CONCURRING: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council hereby authorizes and directs the sub- <br />mission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted at the General Elec- <br />tion to be held at the usual places of voting in said Citp on Tuesday, <br />November 6, 1990, the following separate proposal to amend the Charter of <br />the City of North Olmsted: <br />Proposal: That Article IV, Section 14 of the Charter relating to the <br />enactment of zoning ordinances be amended to provide for notice of public <br />hearings on zoning legislation to be given to property owners living within <br />one thousand (1,000) feet of the property which is the subject of the <br />zoning legislation. Such Section 14 of Article IV shall read as follows: <br />Article IV <br />The Council <br />S_EC. 14. ENACTMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCES AND REGULATIONS, NOTICE. <br />The Council may provide bp ordinance for the procedure for <br />the passage and amendment of any zoning ordinance, the maps and <br />regulations thereof, and the publication of notice and the public <br />hearing thereof, provided that the minimum notice of the time and <br />place of such public hearing shall be published once a week - for <br />two consecutive weeks in a newspaper as provided in Section 13 <br />herein. In the event it is proposed to amend, enlarge, or change <br />anp area, zone or district classification, defined in an enacted <br />ordinance, then, in addition to the newspaper notice hereinbefore
