<br />? <br />?f <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90- 113 <br />BY: ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE ELEC- <br />TORS OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO OF AN AMENDMENT <br />TO ARTICLE VII, 2(B) OF THE CHARTER REQUIRING THE CITY <br />PLANNING COMMISSION TO PREPARE A MASTER LAND USE PLAN <br />FOR THE CITY EVERY FOUR (4) YEARS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br />CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION, AND DECLARING AN E1rlERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission of the City of North Olmsted, <br />appointed pursuant to Article XIV of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, <br />has filed its report of recommended amendments to the Charter with this Coun- <br />cil; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to submit the within proposal <br />to the electors for their consideration at the General Election to be held <br />within the City on November 6, 1990. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO, TWO-THIRDS OF ALL MEMBERS <br />CONCURRING: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council hereby authorizes and directs the <br />submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted at the General Elec- <br />tion to be held at the usual places of voting in said City on Tuesday, Novem- <br />ber 6, 1990, the following separate proposal to amend the Charter of the City <br />of North Olmsted: <br />Provosal: That Article VII, Section 2(B) of the Charter establishing <br />the duties and powers of the Planning Commission be amended to provide the <br />Planning Commission with the additional duty of preparing a master land use <br />plan for the City every four years. Such proposed amended Section 2(b) of <br />Article VII shall read as follows: <br />Article VII <br />Boards and Commissions <br />SECTION 2. PLANNING COMMISSION. <br />(b) Duties and Powers. It shall be the function and duty of the <br />Planning Commission to act as the Plattinq Commissioners of the <br />City, and as such it shall have control of planning and shall <br />provide regulations with respect to the platting of all lands <br />within the City so as to secure their harmonious development; to <br />provide for the coordination of streets with other streets and with <br />the official municipal plan; to provide for open spaces for
