' , ... <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90-110 <br />BY: ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE ELEC- <br />TORS OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO OF AN AMENDMENT <br />TO ARTICLE V, SECTION 4(d) OF THE CHARTER, DESIGNATING <br />THE HEAD OF THE DIVISION OF PARKS AND RECREATION AS THE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER, AS RECOMMENDED BY <br />THE CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGEN- <br />CY. <br />WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission of the City of North Olmsted, <br />appointed pursuant to Article XIV of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, <br />has filed its report of recomtnended amendments to the Charter with this Coun- <br />cil; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to submit the within proposal <br />to the electors for their consideration at the General Election to be held <br />within the City on November 6, 1990. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO, TWO-THIRDS OF ALL MEMBERS <br />CONCURRING: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council hereby authorizes and directs the <br />submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted at the General Elec- <br />tion to be held at the usual places of voting in said City on Tuesday, Novem- <br />ber 6, 1990, the followinq separate proposal to amend the Charter of the City <br />of North Olmsted: <br />Proposal: That Article V, Section 4(d) of the Charter establishing <br />the Division of Parks and Recreation be amended to desiqnate the head of the <br />Division as a Commissioner instead of a Director. Such proposed amended <br />Section 4(d) of Article V shall read as follows: <br />Article V <br />Administrative Officers and Departments <br />SECTION 4. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />(d) Division of Parks and Recreation. The Division of Parks and <br />Recreation shall be in the active charge of the Parks and Recrea- <br />tion Commissioner who shall be responsible for its organization and <br />supervision. <br />SECTION 2: That if such amendment is approved by a majority of the <br />electors voting thereon at such election, it shall become effective from and
