=•..r µ,,,,,, <br />r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90 - 49 <br />B Y : iZ'ZL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE NORTHERN OHIO PATROLMEN'S <br />BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION, WHfiCH AGREEMENT IS THE <br />COLLECTTVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />AND THE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE DEPARTMENT DTSPATCHERS, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted <br />legislation calling for Col1ective Bargaining Agreements with public <br />employees; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department Dispatchers through the Northern Ohio <br />Patrolmen's Benevolent Association has been recognized as the exclusive <br />bargaining agent for the Police Department Dispatchers; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the <br />Police Department Dispatchers and concluded that bargaining with an <br />agreement which is satisfactory to the administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Playor to <br />enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated <br />by the administration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section: 1 That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with <br />the Northern Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and the Police Deoartment <br />Dispatchers, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and marked, <br />"Exhibit A". <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe <br />benefits specified in said Agreement shall be July 20, 1989. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is declared <br />to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, health, safety and welfare of this City and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to pravide for the continuity of <br />services for the year 1990 and thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall <br />be in full force and effect from and immediately after its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor.
