BY: Mr. Nasher <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE OHIO DEPARD.KENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION TO IMPROVE LORAIN ROAD, <br />STATE ROUTE 10, FROM THE WEST CORPORATION <br />LINE TO THE EAST CORPORATION LINE BY RE- <br />SURFACING, AND DECLARING AN EMEFtGINCY. <br />WHEREAS, the pavement on Lorain Road, State Route 10, has <br />deteriorated from the west corporation line to the east corporation <br />line, and <br />WHEftEAS, Lorain Road, State Route 10, is a principal arterial <br />highway through the City of North Olmsted, carrying approximately 25,000 <br />vehicles per day, and <br />WHIIZEAS, the City of North Olmsted is desirous of cooperating with <br />the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation, in the improvement of <br />Lorain Road, State Route 10. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF ZTiE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby requests tha.t the <br />Ohio Department of Transportation improve Lorain Road, State Route 10, <br />from the west corporation line to the east corporation line by <br />resurfacing the pavement, under the supervision of the State of Ohio, <br />Department of Transportation. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed <br />to transmit copies of this Resolution to the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation, District Deputy Director. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfaxe and for the further reason that it is <br />imnediately necessary for the protection of the traveling public, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />itrnnediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ?
