. ?...- ,?., CITY OF NdRTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 90-25 BY: DEAN MCKAY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE PROHIBITION OF TRUGK TRAFFIC ON A PORTION OF COUNTRY CLUB B4ULEVARD AND, DECLARING AN EMERGEN- CY, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, the condition ot the surface of Country CIub BIvd. between victoria Lane and Lorain Roact has deteriorated to the point that it is no Ionger safe for excessive vehicuIar traffic; and WHEREAS, this CounciI is of the opinion that it wouId be in the best interest ot the public heaIth, safety and weIfare of the residents of the City to restrict truck traftic on said street from and after a point where the first cut-through provides access to Great Northern Shopping Center; and WHEREAS, Chagter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic ControI File, which said file can be amended onIy by ordi- nance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic ControI File of the City of iVorth OImsted to indicate thereon the instaIIation ot traffic signs pro- hibiting truck traftic when said trucks are in excess of 3/4 ton, on Country CIub BouIevard between Victoria Lane and Lorain Road for vehicles traveling in a westerIy direction and prohibiting said trucks traveIing in a southeasterly direction from a point after the tirst cut-through servic- ing Great Northern Shopping Center. SEC_TZON 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said traffic signs, as aforesaid,to be instalIed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. SECT_TON_3: That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency meas- ure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and weI- fare, and for the further reason that it is immeQiateIy necessary to pro- tect the motoring pubIic, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of aII members elected to Council, it shaIl go into immediate force and effect upon its signing by the Mayor.
