ct _ <br />_- <br />,?%?iU? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED r <br />ORDINANCE N0. 92-138 <br />By: COUNCILMAN DEAN MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 521.15 OF TfiE GIIVERAL <br />OFFENSFS CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTEi OLMSTID, ENTITLED <br />"STACKING OF FIREWOOD IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS," AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMIINDED. <br />WBEREAS, there is no regulation for the storage of firewood in residential <br />areas of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the improper storage of firewood in residential areas contributes <br />to health and safety hazards, and, in addition, is unsightly; <br />NOW, TfiEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TEiE COUNCIL OF '.I?iE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That there be and hereby is created new Section 521.15 of the <br />General Offenses Code entitled, "Stacking of Firewood in Residential Districts," <br />which as created shall provide as follows: <br />"521.15 STACKING OF FIREWOOD IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS. <br />(a) The front yard of every property located within any residential <br />district shall be kept free, and storage shall be prohibited, of all firewood, <br />brush, logs or any other material intended to be used, or for use, in fireplaces <br />or other permitted burning facilities. <br />(b) The storage of such materials shall be permitted only in side or rear <br />yards and shall be neatly stacked. <br />(1) The materials, when stacked, shall be located no closer than <br />fifteen feet (15') of the neighboring residence. <br />(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misder.ieanor. Any <br />such violation shall constitute a separate offense on each successive day <br />continued after notice from the City."
