ORDINANCE NO. 96 - 3 <br />BY: Mayor Ed Boyle <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE GEORGE S. RIDER COMPANY TO PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL <br />AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE <br />SPRINGVALE COUNTRY CLUB AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, parking lot area at the Springvale Country Club is in need of repair <br />and the facility is in need of ADA-complying improvements for the entrance and toilet <br />facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the George S. <br />Rider Company, be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise in <br />this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on <br />behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into an Agreement with George S. Rider Company to provide architectural and <br />engineering services for parking lot and ADA improvements to the Springvale Country <br />Club. A copy of said Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked <br />Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with <br />services for this project and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor.
