? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-164 <br />By: Councilma.n McKay <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TBE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TBE COLLECTION OF <br />ALL REFUSE IN TBE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND <br />AUTHORTZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR SAME, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WIMREAS, the current contract for private rubbish hauling for the City of North <br />Olmsted will expire on December 31, 1996, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and the Administration to have the <br />Director of Public Service advertise for bids for the purpose of entering into a new <br />contract with a private hauler to perform the service of refuse collection. <br />NOW, TBEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY TBE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for the collection of all refuse in the City of North Olmsted 'm <br />accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the <br />Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute <br />same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare of the <br />residents of the City of North Olmsted and for the further reason that it is immed.iately <br />necessary to provide for the cleanliness of the City of North Olmsted, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED! q <br />ATTEST:' <br />? <br />?` ? )r? , ?-C?j >i.,a.xt? <br />j Barbara L.
