CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 61- ~~ <br />~~~~ <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TziE DIRECTOR OF PIIBLIC SAFETY TO ADVERTISE <br />FOR BIDS FOR THE FiTRNISHING TO THE CITY OF A 1~i5tJ aALI.ON F'LR. <br />FOR FIRE PROTECTION 1~ AND DECLARING AI+T EMERfiE1~CY' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety and the Safety and. Finance <br />Conanittee of Council report the necessity of pnrahasiag a new piee~e of fire <br />equipment; rua~ly a 1250 gallon pamper to replace the old SeagraT~ PutirQer, and <br />WHEREAS, Council determines it necessary that a new piece of pining <br />fire apparatus is recommended by Council being purchased. <br />NOW, THEREF~.E, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Nort~a <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for the furnishing of a 1250 gallon pu~gaer <br />piece of fire equipment in accordance with the plans and specifications now <br />on file in the office of the Director of Public Safety. <br />Section 2: Wherefore, this resolution is determined to be an emargencsy <br />measure necessary for the pre~rvatlon of the public safety sad welfare, atxi sua <br />emergency exists by virtue of the necessity of securing adequate fire apparatus <br />for the protection of the lives and property of the residents of the City sad <br />further, by virtue of the Pact that it would take approximately nine (9) months <br />for delivery of such equipment after the resolving of a bid therefore. <br />Section 3: Wherefore, this resolution shall take ir~tediate effect fraan <br />and after its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED : ' ~ ~~ <br />~~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />~ e , e o Dune <br />APPROVED: <br />r i,.E~-.,...
