t • <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 64 1/ I <br />0 <br />By ov-, wv1 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3171, (CC)DIFIED <br />ORDINANCES, PART FIFTEEN, CHAPTER 1501 , SECTION 1501.02 <br />PARAGRAPH B) ENACTED NOVEMBER 15, 1960, A?V D ENTITLED <br />"AN ORDINANCE ADOPTTNG A FIRE PREVENTION CODF PRE- <br />SCRIBING REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS <br />TO LIFE AND PROPERTY FRUM FIRE OR EXPLOSION, AND ESTABLISH- <br />ING A BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION AN D PROVI DING OFFICERS <br />THEREFOR AND DEFINING THEIR POWERS AND DUTIES, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has heretofore enacted Ordinance 3171 <br />which Ordinance provided that the Chief of the Fire Department was designated <br />the Fire Marshall, and <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to give the Chief of the Fire <br />Department the authority to designate the Fire Marshall. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted, Ohio: <br />•` Section 1: That Section 2, Paragraph "B" ,(Codified <br />Ordinance Part Fifteen, Chapter 1501, Section 1501.02, Paragraph B.) heretofore <br />reading as follows: <br />"The Chief of the Fire Department is hereby designated the <br />Fire Marshall i.n charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention. <br />His appointment shall continue during good beHavior and <br />satisfactory senvice, and he shall not be removed from office <br />• except for cause after public trial. " <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Ordinance No. 3171, Section 2, Paragraph b(Codified <br />Ordinances, Part Fifteen, Chapter 1501, Section 1501.02, Paragraph B): <br />The Chief of the Fire Department shall designate the Fire <br />Marshall in charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention. His appointment shall <br />continue during good behavior and satisfactory service, and he shall not be <br />removed from office except for cause after public hearing. <br />Section 2: Ordinance 3171, Section 2, Paragraph "B" <br />(Codified Ordinance, Part Fifteen, Chapter 1501, Section 1501.02, Paragraph B, <br />• and all other Ordinances or parts of ordinances, section or parts of ordinances <br />which are conflicting with this ordinance are hereby repealed with the effective <br />date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, the emergency being that it is necessary for the immediate
