? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 78 - 134 <br />BY. ,- J'e.!?'- ' . <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO ACCEPT A TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR <br />(10,000.00) GRANT FROM THE CLEVELAND <br />FOUNDATION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br />A YOUTH DIVERSION PROGRAM AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE REQUIRED SIX THOUSAND <br />DOLLAR ($6,000.00) MATCHING FUNDS. <br />? <br />? <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has established a Youth <br />Diversion Program within the Department of Human Resources, and <br />WHEREAS, the the program is presently being implemented <br />through the use of a CETA employee, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to continue the <br />Youth Diversion Program by accepting a Ten Thousand Dollar ($10,000.00) <br />grant through The Cleveland Foundation with the requisite Six <br />Thousand Dollar ($6,000.00) matching funds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to <br />accept a grant rom The Cleveland Foundation to be used in the <br />Youth Diversion Program which is being operated within the Department <br />of Human Resources. The Mayor is further authorized to execute any <br />and all documents necessary to implement the acceptance of the grant <br />from The Cleveland Foundation. <br />SECTION Z: That this Council hereby expresses its intent <br />consistent wit the authority given in Section 1 hereof to provide <br />matching funds in the amount of Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00). <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />? e C <br />Florence E.
