s? <br />? <br />BY <br />Q <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE T.7AYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />A CONTRACT WITH THE CLEVELAND ELECTRIC ILLUMINATING <br />CONIrANY FOP TI-IE F[TRNISHING OF STREET LIC4iTING AND <br />OTHER ELECTRICAL SERVICES FOP, THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OL1yISTED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WfIEREAS, the Agreement previously entered into with the Cleveland Electric <br />Illwninating Company for the furnishing of street lighting and other electrical <br />services within the City of North Olmsted is due to expire, and <br />WfiEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to continue said Agreement, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the h9ayor of the City of North <br />Olmsted to enter into an agreement for the providing of the aforesaid services. <br />NOW, Tf-EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUN'TY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the 1!layor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into <br />an Agreement with the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, a copy of which <br />is attached hereto and made a part hereof as though fully rewritten herein, and <br />marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure imme lately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary by virtue <br />of the fact that street lights and street lighting are needed within the City <br />for pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and further provided it receives the affirma- <br />tive vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force irmnediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : 94(5- ,? , 17.71 <br />ATTEST : <br />CITY OF NORTH OLAISTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 78-//,J?_ <br />LL??_ 1 . <br />FL RENCE E.
