BOEHMER <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR <br />OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR <br />BIDS FOR LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERING <br />EMPLOYEES OF THE POLICE FORCE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR FALSE ARREST <br />INSURANCE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council and the Administration <br />desire to obtain a policy of liability insurance protecting <br />employees of the Police Department against all causes of <br />action arising out of allegations of false arrest, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to <br />authorize the Director of Public Service to advertise for <br />liability insurance, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION ]: That the Director of Public Service be <br />and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for insurance <br />coverage respecting the liability of all employees of the <br />Police Department against all causes of action arising out <br />of allegations of false arrest, according to specifications now <br />on file in his office, and that upon the approval by the Board <br />of Control, the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into <br />a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further <br />reason that the existing insurance coverage expires on July 1, <br />1978, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
