AN CE~DINANCE TO i~;V <br />FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />END OF EXISTING MAIL <br />BY CONSTRUCTING THE; <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Y' SPECIAL ASSESSiTS <br />OF BARYON ROAD FROM <br />V TO WESTER]GY CITY LI <br />FEIN A WATER MAIN. <br />THE CITY OF NORTH <br />Section l,= That the assessment of the cost and expense <br />of improv~~rton -Road from the end of the existing main to the <br />westerly City line b constructing therein a water main, amounts <br />in the aggregate to 31,tE.OO.OO, as reported to this Council by the <br />City Engineer, notice of the filing of which assessment has been <br />given, as required by law, be and the same is hereby adopted and <br />confirmed and that there be and is hereby levied upon all the lots <br />and land bounding and abutting upon Barton Road from the end. of the <br />existing main to the westerly City line, by constructing therein a <br />water main, the several amounts reported as aforesaid, which assess- <br />ments, together with the descriptions of said lots and lands, are now <br />on file in the office of the Clerk of this Council, and which assessment. <br />are at the rate of X5.3$51 per front foot and are not in excess of the <br />special benefits to said property. <br />Section 2. That the total assessments against each lot or <br />parcel of hand sha be payable in cash within thirty days from and <br />after the passage of this ordinance, or at the option of the owners, <br />in ten annual installments with interest at the same rate as shall <br />be borne by the bonds to be issued in anticipation of the collection <br />of the same. All cash payments shall be made to the Treasurer of said <br />City, All assessments and installments thereof remaining unpaid at <br />the expiration of said thirty days shall be certified by the Clerk of <br />this Council to the County Auditor, as provided by law., to be by him <br />placed on the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes are collected, <br />Secti~on~ This ordinance is an emergency measure necessary <br />for the public health, peace, welfare and safety and to provide for <br />the immediate levying of special assessments to raise funds for a <br />necessary City street improvement and shall take e.ffec and be in <br />force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: June 21, 1955• <br />ATTEST: <br />C-_ /cr,~ <br />.
