<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2154. <br />BY: ~~ Kramer. A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE Al"~OUNT OF <br />TAXES THAT MAY BE RAISED BY LEVY AT <br />THE MAXINNM RATE AUTHORIZED BY LAW <br />WITHOUT A VOTE OF THE ELECTORS TD BE <br />INSUFFICIENT AND DECLARING THE NECES- <br />SITY OF A LEVY IN .EXCESS OF SUCH RATE. <br />(Operating levy) <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OL~ISTED, <br />STATE OF OHIO, two-thirds of all members elected thereto concurring: <br />Section 1, That the amount of taxes that may be raised by <br />the levy of taxes at the maximum rate authorized by Section 5?05.02 <br />of the Revised Statutes of Ohio on the taxable property in the City <br />of North Olmsted will be insufficient to provide an adequate amount <br />for the necessary requirements of said City and that it is necessary <br />for the purpose of providing additional funds for current expenses <br />of the City of North Olmsted that taxes be levied on the taxable <br />property in said City for the period of five years at a rate in <br />excess of such maximum rate authorized by Section 5705.02 of the <br />Revised Statutes of Ohio. <br />Section 2. That it is necessary to levy taxes for the years <br />195?, 19~$, ~-'~6O and 1961 (tax years of 195b, 1957, 195$, 1959 <br />and 1960 at the rate for each year of three mills on each dollar of <br />the tax valuation which amounts to thirty cents (30¢) for each one <br />hundred dollars (100.00} of valuation of the taxable property within <br />the City of North 01.msted in excess of the rate authorized by said <br />Section 5705.02 of the Revised Statutes of Ohio, which is a renewal <br />of the present three«mill levy. <br />Section That said proposed renewal of tax levy shall be <br />submitted to actors of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, at the <br />next General Election to be held on November $, 1955 in the said City, <br />and the Clerk of this Council be and he is hereby directed to certify <br />a copy of this Resolution to the Deputy State Supervisors and Inspectors <br />of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in order that said Supervisors <br />and Inspectors of Elections may make the necessary arrangements for the <br />submission of such question to the Electors of said City, and all of <br />which they are hereby respectfully directed to do. <br />S.ectian ~ That the form of Ballot to be submitted to the <br />Electors of t~~Gity of North Olmsted, Ohio, at said next General <br />Election on November $, 1955 for said renewal of tax levy shall be <br />substantially as follows: <br />PROPOSED RENEWAL OF TAX LEVY <br />A Sixty Percent Affirmative Vote is Required for Passage <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />A renewal of a tax levy for the benefit of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Ohio, for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exce®ding thr®e <br />mills for each dollar of valuation, which amounts to thirty cents <br />(3©~hef©earsc195?e 195$,®i959111960(and0i96i.of valuation, for each <br />of t y , <br />FOR RENEWAL OF TAX LEVY - <br />AGAINST RENEWAL 4F TAX LEVY <br />
