ORDINANCE No, v/' d'~ i <br />By; ,~~ ~ AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY SPECIAL ASSESS- <br />T~NTS -FOR THE TavIPRt~EtT OF STEARNS <br />ROAD FROM LORA IN RQAD TO N€}RTHERLY <br />LINE OF BERNARD STEARNS PROPERTY', BY <br />CONSTRUCTING THEREIN A i~ATER MAIN . <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, 4HI0: <br />Section 1. That the assessment of the cost and expense of improving <br />Stearns Road from Lorain Road to northerly line of Bernard Stearns proper- <br />ty, by constructing therein a water main, amounts in the aggregate to <br />x$30 ,1F00.00 , as reported to this Council by the City Engineer, notice of <br />the filing of which assessment has been given, as required by law, be and <br />the same is hereby adopted and confirmed and that there be and is hereby <br />levied upon all of the lots and land bounding and abutting upon Stearns <br />Road from Lorain Road to northerly line of Bernard Stearns property, by <br />constructing therein a water main, the several amounts reported as afore- <br />said, which assessments, together with the descriptions of said lots and <br />lands, are now on file in the office of the Clerk of phis Council, and <br />which assessments are at the rate of X5.6724 per front foot and are not <br />in excess of the special benefits to said property. <br />Section 2. That the total assessments against each lot or parcel of land <br />shall be payable in cash within thirty daps from and after the .passage of <br />this ordinance, or at the option of the owners, in ten annual installments <br />with interest at the same rate as shall be bor~ by the bonds to be is- <br />sued in anticipation of the collection of the same. All cash payments shall <br />be made to the Treasurer of said City. All assessments and installments <br />thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of .said thirty days shall be <br />certified by the Clerk of this Council to the County Auditor, as provided <br />by law, to be by him placed on the tax duplicate and collected as other <br />taxes are collected. <br />Section 3.
