CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE No. 63 ;,: ?.~C_ <br />_1 <br />~ ,_ <br />AN ORDINANCE APYROPRIATTNG $~54.DD FOR THE I1~I3EPSNDENCB <br />DAY PROGRAM FOR THE RESIDENTS OF NORTH OLM~iTBD, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce is <br />sponsoring a patriotic program on Ju1q 4, 1963 in observance of <br />the historical, traditional importance of Independence £lay; and <br />WHERBAS, said program will be in the open area east <br />of the Great Northern Shopping Center; and <br />WHEREAS, various residents and businesses of this City <br />are participating in the cost of such a program; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council feels that such a program is <br />important andavital part of the recreation program of the City of <br />North Olmsted for its residents and especially for the children <br />of its residents and has determined that the City should for that <br />reason furnish part of the cost of said program to the extent of <br />$~SO.OD. <br />NC~V, THEREFORE, BB IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of North O1®sted, Mate of Ohio: <br />section 1: That there be appropriated from the <br />General Fund the sum of $230.00 to pay part of the cost of a <br />historical and traditional program in observance of Independence <br />Day as a part of the City's recreational program and that the <br />Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay said sum to the <br />North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce as sponsors of said program. <br />Section 2: That this Ordinance is hereby de- <br />termined to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation <br />of the public welfare, peace, health, safety and recreation by <br />virtue of the necessity of appropriating the above funds in time for <br />the City's participation in a program which is imminent; WHEREFORE,, <br />this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upmn <br />its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />s~ P <br />ATTEST: <br />-` <br />,,_ ~ +~nt ro-tem <br />,' ~" of Counc i 1 <br />~_. <br />~`~ "~ ._ <br />Lowise Hall, Jerk o Council <br />APPROVED: <br />reaU , Mayor <br />/ y` 1 s <br /> <br />
