CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0, 64- 3~ 9 <br />BY ~ ; <br />A RESO ION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO, 64-251 ENACTED <br />OCTOBER 20, 1964 AND ENTITLED, "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZ- <br />ING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BII)fi~ FOR A FIRE RESCUE TRUCK ALL IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS NOW ON FILE IN <br />HIS OFFICE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". <br />WHEREAS, Council has previously authorized the Director of <br />Public Service and Public Safety to advertise for bids for a Fire Rescue <br />Truck not to exceed $5.000.00_ and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service and Public Safety <br />has advertised for bids for Fire Rescue Trucks in the above amount and <br />has been unable to secure bids for the authorized amount, and <br />WHEREAS, Council has been advised that additional money was <br />necessary to purchase a Fire Rescue Truck, and Council does desire to <br />purchase said truck at the earliest opportunity, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That Section 1 of Resolution No. 64-251 enacted <br />October 20, 1964 and reading as follows: <br />"That the Director of Public Service and Public Safety <br />be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for <br />a Fire ResetE Truck not to exceed $5,000,00, in accordance <br />with specifications now on file in his office", <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as folbws: <br />" That the Director of Public Service and Public Safety <br />be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for <br />a Fire Rescue Truck not to exceed $5,500.00, in accordance <br />with specifications now on file in his office." <br />Section 2: That this Resolution is hereby determined to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the public peace, safety, health and <br />welf are by virtue of the fact that said emergency rescue vehicle is needed <br />by the Fire Department to protect the safety of the citizens of North <br />Olmsted; WHEREFORE, this resolution shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, otherwise at the <br />earliest period allowed by law, <br />PASSED: ~ ~ . ~ 1 ie (~ <br />\' , <br />~~ cam',,'..- c-~--~ ~ ~ {l ~~-~. <br />Francis J.
