<br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING COMMISSIONER
<br />TO PROCEED WITH THE DEMOLITION OR REMOVAL OF THE
<br />DWELLINGS ON PERMANENT PARCEL NOS. 231-24-3 AND
<br />231-24-4, MAPLE RIDGE ROAD, NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO AND
<br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1331, 01.-
<br />1331-06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, the Building
<br />Commission has determined that abandoned dwellings on Maple Ridge Road,
<br />and also known as Permanent Parcel Nos. 231-24-3 and 231-24-4, the record
<br />title holder of which is A. W. DuBray and A. B, DuBray, 238:37 Maple Ridge
<br />Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, is unsafe , dangerous to human liMfe and a hazard
<br />to the safety, health and public welfare of the City of North Olmsted; and
<br />WHEREAS, notice to repair, remove and demolish said buildings
<br />was served by certified mail on said record title holder on October 19, 1968,
<br />ordering him to repair, remove or demolish said dwellings and to commence
<br />such repair, removal or demolition within forty-eight. hours of receipt of said
<br />notice; and
<br />® WHEREAS, said owner has failed within said time limit and u to

<br />the present date to comply therewith.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Gouncil of the Gity of
<br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio:
<br />Section l: That Council deems it necessary to proceed with the
<br />demolition and removal of the dwellings or accessary buildings an Maple
<br />Ridge Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, also knawn as I~rmanent Parcel Nos.
<br />231-24-3 and 231-24-4, owned by A. W. DuBray and A. R, DuBray, 23837
<br />Maple Ridge Road, North Oirnsted, Ohio, by reason of the fact that said
<br />dwellings have been determined to be dangerous to human life and a hazard
<br />to the public safety, health, and welfare, and that the cast of said demolition
<br />and removal be paid from the general fund of the Gity of North Olmsted and
<br />charged to the owner as a special assessment o=- lien on said parcel of land,
<br />and assessed and collected in the manner of other assessments as provided
<br />by law.
<br />Section 2: That the Clerk of Council is herei,~y directed to forward
<br />to A, W. DuBray and A. B. DuBray, 23837 Maple Ridge Road, North Olmsted,
<br />Ohio, a copy of this ordinance.
<br />Section 3: 'That this ordinance is riereby declared to be an emergency
<br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety anti
<br />welfare of the City by virtue of the unsafe and dangerous ron~tition rxi= the aforesaid
<br />dwelling and its immediate threat to the health and safety ~~f the City. WHEREFORE,
<br />this ordinance shall take effer_t and be in force immediately after its passage, ot'raer-
<br />wise, at the ea li~est period allowed try Iaw.
