y` CITY OF NORTH OLMSTEI~ ~" t~tfDINANCE NO. ~?66- ~ ., BY AN ORDINANGE AMENDING SECTION 2 AND SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 64-110 ENACTED MAY 19, 1964, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF THE DIVISION OF FIRE TO ESTABLISH FIRE LANES ON CERTAIN CONDITIONS, PROVIDING FOR THE TC3WlNG AWAY OF VEHICLES STANDING OR PARKED IN FIREZANES AND REMOVING OTHER OBSTRUCTIONS FROM FIRE LANES AND ESTABLISHING A PENALTY. " BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohlo: Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 64-110 enacted May 19, 1964, reading as follows: "Section 2: Fire lanes shall be of such width as is reasonably determined by the Chief of the Division of Fire as necessary to permit access and operation of fire fighting equipment and personnel and the egress of occupants . Fire Lanes shall be suitably marked by appropriate markings on the ground, or by displaying adequate signs, or both. The markings shall be placed and maintained by the City. The markings shall be ® placed and maintained by the property owner in accordance with color and design as prescribed by the Director of Public Safety and Public Service. Section 2: Section 3 of Ordinance No. 64-110 enacted May 19, 1964, reading as follows: "Section 3: No person shall obstruct a fire lane by parking or leaving standing a motor vehicle whether such a vehicle is attended or unattended; by constructing a fence or other barricade; or in any manner whatsoever. A barricade or fence which is readily removable or through which access may be gained by fire fighting equipment and personnel without delay shall not be prohibited by the terms of this ordinance. Any such permitted barricade or fence may not be locked in any manner.
