CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2014 — 40 BY: Mayor Kennedy, President Jones and all Members of Council A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF LABOR AND EQUIPMENT FROM FRANCISCUS INCORPORATED TO REPLACE THE ROOF ON THE CRYPT AT THE BUTTERNUT RIDGE CEMETERY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Franciscus Incorporated, with the assistance of Mr. Gary Porter, Chairman of the Historical Cemeteries Committee of the Olmsted Historical Society, generously has offered to donate a new roof on the cemetery crypt at the Butternut Ridge Cemetery; and WHEREAS, the Mayor requests that Council recognize and accept this generous donation, pursuant to Section 131.06 of the Administrative Code, and join in his expression of gratitude on behalf of the City and the entire community; and WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Mayor to accept the donation of the new crypt roof at the Butternut Ridge Cemetery, with the sincerest appreciation of Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted authorizes the Mayor to accept the donation of labor and materials to install a new roof at the Butternut Ridge Cemetery from Franciscus Incorporated and further authorizes the Mayor to execute any documents required for this donation of labor and materials. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately due to the condition of the roof; and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two - thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
