CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2015— 15 BY: President of Council Jones and Councilman Schumann A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE 2015 MASTER PLAN FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED. WHEREAS, Article VII, Section 2(b) of the City Charter currently provides for the City Planning and Design Commission to prepare a Master Plan for the City every ten (10) years; and WHEREAS, said Article VII, Section 2(b) further provides that said Master Plan prepared every ten (10) years shall be submitted to the City Council for its approval or revision; and WHEREAS, in 2014, under the Direction of Planning and Development Director Kimberly Wenger, city staff, supported by a diverse steering committee of residents and community stakeholders, launched the Committee for the Future, and its Master Plan review process known as Go North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, Go North Olmsted created an opportunity for community input to chart the future of North Olmsted through the creation of the 2015 Master Plan; and WHEREAS, The 2015 City of North Olmsted Master Plan encompasses many aspects of community life including, but not limited to, commercial development, housing, environment, economic development and transportation; and WHEREAS, the 2015 City of North Olmsted Master Plan shall serve as the key policy guide for decision making concerning the developed and natural environment in the City of North Olmsted and shall serve as an aggressive agenda for action over the next decade; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Design Commission completed its preparation of the new 2015 City of North Olmsted Master Plan and approved the said Master Plan at a public meeting held on the .? day of,16:111/ti,ti _2015; and WHEREAS, a full and complete copy of said 2015 City of North Olmsted Master Plan is on file in the office of the Director of Planning and Development; and
