CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2015—70 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF 5,000 TONS OF STONE FOR VARIOUS SERVICE DEPARTMENT NEEDS THROUGHOUT THE CITY AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER(S) TO PURCHASE SAID STONE,AFTER BOARD OF CONTROL APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the Department of Public Service has advised this Council that it is necessary to purchase 5,000 tons of stone for various Service Department needs throughout the City; and WHEREAS, the necessary specifications for said stone, as prepared under the direction of the Service Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file in the Service Director's Office; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for 5,000 tons of stone for various Service Department needs throughout the City, and to further authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder to purchase said stone, after Board of Control approval; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA,AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for 5,000 tons of stone for various Service Department needs throughout the City in accordance with the specifications now on file in the Service Director's Office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder(s). SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
